If Thaksin disagrees with the assessment, he may appeal to the tax appeals committee within 30 days from the date he receives the notice. If he is still not happy with the committee's decision, he may appeal to the tax court within 30 days. If Thaksin fails to appeal through this process, the department will start collecting the taxes immediately by seizing Thaksin's assets.
